This website was created to help provide an online learning experience on practical information and teachings by the best subject matter experts in a particular field based on real life needs and situations. This includes law, medical, financial, insurance, end of life, and beyond- and combines them with resources, lists, links, and recommendations through this website and social community.
Why and how it all got started?
By the age of 26 I was in New York working for BBDO on the Frito Lay account. That's when I came up with the Doritos campaign INNW (If Not Now, When). And my first inspiration of using the power of mindset to influence others to make a positive change.
(Why, yes, millennials- that's how we used to have to text with flip phones)
That resulted in my promotion to launch Gillette's female razors Venus' new product, how called the 'Comfort Glide'. (You know the one with the gel on the top and bottom of the blades.)
But I wasn't happy working crazy hours.
No, I did not move back home to Kentucky, fall in love, and live on a farm like my mamma always dreamed I would. This is not a Hallmark movie. No, instead, I sold everything and moved to Orlando, Florida. You might ask, why the hell, Orlando? Because it was the #2 market in the US at the time for growth and opportunity and I wanted to learn commercial real estate. I knew if I tried to get into the commercial real estate business in New York City, I would be competing against people that had family, friends, connections, an Ivy League education, or worse – were part of the good ol’ boys club, and none of those profiles were me.
So, if I was going to learn the business fast, I needed to find a market where I could learn a lot, and quickly.
So I did just that!
