Our names are Kainalu and Kalalea Grace. We are a young couple from Hawaii with a passion for documenting our family’s memories. We were both raised in the Hawaiian culture where learning about our kupuna (ancestors) and connecting with our immediate and extended families is important. After getting married and starting our own family together in January 2020, we knew we wanted to start documenting our special memories not only for ourselves but also for our family, friends, and future kids! However, the thought of figuring out how to “vlog,” using the right camera settings, knowing when to take the camera out, and much more made it an extremely daunting task. There was so much information we felt we didn’t have, that it stopped us from documenting our journey earlier than we should have. After teaching ourselves and learning through “youtube university,” our journey to documenting our lives has not been easy. Although we aren’t the best we know we have what it takes to confidently whip out our camera and document life’s important moments when the time is right. Whether it is a Family Home Video, of funny moments at home or big events/birthday parties, or even a Legacy Video of us wanting to record our grandparent’s stories for their posterity, there are moments all around us that are passing us by. We shouldn’t have to rely on our brains to remember these significant memories. It was then that we decided we wanted to help others through the same struggle that we had gone through. We know it is important to capture life’s precious memories because if you don’t, who will? Our goal is to help you Document Your Legacy.
